about
Erik Hill, founder of Grounded Designs has over 10 years of professional experience in Information Technology.
Erik became fascinated with computers at a very young age, spending hours on his parents Commodore 64. This fascination eventually led to 4 Microsoft certifications and a CompTIA A+ certification
(among others). After being a Systems Administrator for three different companies (which basically involved fixing servers, desktop
computers and running miles of cable), he realized that his true calling was in design and programming. After a move back to the countryside and infinite hours during the wee morning, Erik had
launched his first web page. A few years later, he happened to met an incredible woman who was interested in design as well (see below). The rest is history. When not sitting in front of his PC, Erik
likes to fiddle with music (which still involves sitting in front of a computer at times),
gardening, tools and breaking/fixing weird gadgets.
Corinne Hill, has been interested in design and photography since she can remember. Her father, a graphic designer himself,
helped Corinne to learn the design no-no's at an early age. His skills in photography were passed along to Corinne, from 35mm film to the digital realm. After meeting an
incredible man 7 years ago (see above), she realized that web and graphic design was a perfect fit for her talents.
As well a designer, she has a knack for bookkeeping and handles the financial end of Grounded Designs. When she's not in front of the computer or chasing around 2 children, Corinne enjoys
gardening,
knitting, painting, chickens and makes the best spinach lasagna this side of Italy.
